If you’re packing for a beach or pool day with your baby, one item you can’t forget is the swim diaper. Unlike regular diapers, swim diapers are designed to hold in solids while letting liquids pass through—which means fewer messes for you and less risk of a pool evacuation (yikes!). Whether you prefer disposable or reusable styles, we’ve rounded up some of the best swim diapers for babies to help you choose what works best for your family.

These are perfect for travel, quick changes, and when you don’t want to carry a wet diaper home.
1. Huggies Little Swimmers
A parent favorite for a reason - these are stretchy, won’t swell in water, and come in multiple sizes. Bonus: easy tear-away sides.
2. Pampers Splashers
Soft, secure, and great for active babies. The snug fit helps prevent leaks, and they come in a fun, swimmy print.
Better for the environment, and often cuter too!
1. iPlay by Green Sprouts Reusable Swim Diaper
Triple-layered for extra protection, these are lightweight and snug. Lots of adorable prints and come in sizes from newborn to toddler.
2. Beau & Belle Littles Nageuret Swim Diaper
Adjustable, reusable, and made by a family-owned business. Great for chunky babies or those in between sizes.
3. Alva Baby Reusable Swim Diapers
Affordable and adjustable with fun colors—perfect for growing babes. Machine washable and mom-approved.
Always pack two swim diapers (accidents happen).
If you're using reusables, bring a wet bag for storage.
Apply sunscreen before putting the diaper on to avoid missing spots.
Check your pool or swim class rules—some require double layers (a reusable over a disposable).
