I know, I know - as a culture we LOVE celebrating our history in the traditional African pride colors (like red, yellow, black, & green) BUT did you know that the official Juneteenth flag is red, white, and blue? These colors signify Independence Day for black folks! The reasons for these colors was to convey that all enslaved people and their descendants are American people.
Don't be afraid to celebrate Juneteenth in red, white, and blue. To be honest, we're as American as any other culture! Our ancestors built this country and we deserve to celebrate them and our history!
