There’s something special about turning off the world, piling under blankets, and watching holiday movies together. No rushing, no stress - just snacks, laughter, and those little moments where everyone’s actually sitting still (for once).

In our house, it’s a tradition. After Thanksgiving dinner, we kick off the holiday season with our favorite movies - and yes, “Elf” is always first up. Here are a few family-friendly favorites to add to your own list this year.

“Buddy the Elf, what’s your favorite color?” Never fails.
Will Ferrell is peak chaos in this one, and my kids still laugh like it’s their first time watching it. It’s silly, sweet, and reminds us that a little joy (and sugar) goes a long way.
Watch it while wearing: Our cozy Thankful, Grateful, Blessed mommy + me tees — comfy enough for couch snuggles, cute enough for matching photos.

Jim Carrey’s version is chaotic perfection. It’s over-the-top in the best way and somehow still manages to tug at your heartstrings.
It’s also the perfect movie to talk with kids about kindness - and how sometimes, even grown-ups just need a little love to grow their hearts three sizes.
Snack pairing: Popcorn mixed with green M&Ms (because obviously).

Yes, that Mariah Carey. This adorable animated movie tells the story behind her famous song and follows a young Mariah as she wishes for a puppy for Christmas.
It’s lighthearted, fun, and short enough to hold everyone’s attention - including little ones.
Pro tip: Make it a mini dance party when the credits roll.

If you haven’t watched this one yet - please do. It’s absolutely stunning. The music, the costumes, the representation - everything about it feels magical.
Forest Whitaker plays a toymaker whose spark returns through his granddaughter’s belief. It’s joyful, creative, and full of heart.
Theme idea: Have the kids make their own “invention” or craft afterward.

A sweet animated retelling of the Christmas story from the animals’ perspective. It’s funny, charming, and has a surprisingly good soundtrack (Mariah again, obviously).
It’s one of those rare movies that keeps both kids and adults entertained - and gives you that peaceful family moment you’ll want to bottle up.
You don’t need anything fancy - just a warm blanket, some hot cocoa, and matching PJs. If you’re feeling festive, pull out your holiday tees or PJs from our Holiday Collection and make it a full-on family night.
Movies, laughter, and a little bit of Mariah - that’s holiday magic.
