The holiday season is one of my favorite times of the year, but whew, it can also be one of the busiest!
As a mom and small business owner, the last few months of the year can feel like a marathon. Between fulfilling wholesale orders, preparing for holiday markets, and keeping up with everyday business tasks, there's always something that needs to get done.

Then, of course, there's mom life! Volleyball practice, art class, school activities, homework, and everything else that comes with raising kids.
And somehow, I still want to create a magical holiday season for my girls.
But here's something I'm reminding myself this year: We don't have to do ALL of the things to make the holidays special.
As moms, I think we sometimes put so much pressure on ourselves to make every holiday perfect.
We want to visit the Christmas markets, bake all the cookies, take the family photos, see Santa, decorate the house, buy the matching pajamas, and squeeze in every holiday activity we see on social media.
And don't get me wrong, I love a good holiday activity!
But sometimes our calendars get so full that we forget to actually enjoy the season.
I've been thinking a lot about what I want my girls to remember when they look back on their childhood. And while I hope they remember the fun places we've visited and the experiences we've shared, I really hope they remember the time we spent together.
Not how many activities we checked off a list.
Instead of trying to squeeze in everything this holiday season, I'm picking three things I really want to do with my girls.
1. Go see the Christmas lights.
Every December we pile into the car, turn on Christmas music, and driving around looking at holiday lights. I'm hoping we'll visit one of our local farms for a holiday light experience this year (on my birthday!).
2. Decorate our Christmas tree together.
Nothing fancy! Just putting on some Christmas music, pulling out our ornaments, and decorating the tree as a family. I love how something so simple can become one of those memories we look forward to every year.
3. Keep our Christmas Eve tradition alive.
This one is extra special to me.
Every Christmas Eve, we put on our matching family pajamas, make homemade pizzas, and bake and decorate cookies while getting ready for Santa.
It's one of my favorite traditions with my girls, and something I hope they'll always remember.
And that's it! If we squeeze in a few more holiday activities, great. But if we don't? That's okay, too.
Whether you're working full-time, running a business, staying home with your little ones, or juggling a little bit of everything, I hope you remember that you don't have to do it all.
Your kids don't need a calendar packed with activities to have a magical holiday season.

Sometimes the memories that stick with them are the simplest ones. The cookies you baked together, the Christmas songs you sang in the car, or the night you stayed up watching holiday movies in your pajamas.
So this year, I'm giving myself permission to slow down a little, be present, and enjoy the moments that matter most.
Because creating memories isn't about doing more. It's about making the moments we do have count.
And mama, that's more than enough. ❤️
