Motherhood comes with a long list of expectations - many of which I’ve learned to gently let go of. Not because I don’t care, but because I care more about peace, presence, and showing up as the mom my kids actually need - not the one Pinterest says I should be.

Here are a few things I’ve let go of lately… and honestly? It feels so good.
I’ve traded spotless floors for giggles and half-finished art projects. My home is lived in, and that’s okay.
Dinner doesn’t have to be gourmet. Some nights it’s frozen pizza and salad, and everyone’s fed and happy.
I’m no longer the default for every task. I ask for help. I say no when I need to. I let others show up, too.
Sometimes I’m quiet. Sometimes I need a break. I’m allowed to recharge without guilt - because rested moms love better.
The way I mother might not look like yours - and that’s the beauty of it. I’m doing what works for us.

Letting go doesn’t mean you’re failing. It means you’re growing. And the more I release, the more room I make for joy, connection, and a version of motherhood that actually fits.
