Every year, on the first day of school, I snap a photo of my daughters holding their “First Day of School” poster - and let me tell you, it’s become one of our favorite back-to-school traditions.

There’s something so sweet (and slightly emotional!) about looking back on these posters year after year. From preschool to middle school, each one captures a little piece of who they were - their age, favorite things, and what they want to be when they grow up.
You don’t have to be a Pinterest mom to make this special. I keep it simple:
– I order a cute printable from one of my favorite small shops on Etsy
– Print it at home or at Staples, Walgreens
– Let my kids fill in their answers the night before school
Then boom - morning photo, memories captured. 💖
Want to start this tradition with your kids? I’ve rounded up a few adorable and affordable options from small Etsy shops [link coming here!]. They have everything from classic chalkboard styles to fun eras-inspired designs (like the one my daughter Khloe is wearing in the photo above!).
🎒 Bonus tip: Pair it with a cute Back to School shirt for the full look!
