One of our favorite Back to School traditions is these adorable First Day of School signs! I know, I know! Many parents worry about the information shared on these sign, on the internet, and rightfully so. It's totally up to you (the parents) on how detailed you'd like to get!
My girls look forward to answering mom's first day of school questionnaire! I like to make two signs, sharing the more detailed sign with grandparents, aunts, and uncles and the other for our #firstdayofschool social media post!
Some questions I like to ask are: "What do you want to be when you grow up?" and "What's your favorite color?" It's so funny to see how their answers change from year to year! Etsy has many amazing templates to choose from! Edit on an online platform and print at your local Walgreens!
In previous years, I have purchased templates on Etsy which allowed me to edit the information. Then, I would print the signs at my local Walgreens. I love printing with Walgreens because they usually have an amazing deal going on! I don't spend more than $8-10 to have both signs printed. And once we've used them for our first day pictures, I frame them in Ikea 11"x13" frames to hang in my girls' school/computer areas!
Back to school traditions are a great way to create memories for your children! My daughters look forward to their first day of school photos, even as homeschool/cyber school kids! It's important for us to great those special moments. I save each year's pictures in a DropBox folder and we (try) to store the previous school year banners in our basement. (I'm pretty sure we lost Kindergarten but shhhh don't tell anyone! I guess it's a good thing we have digital copies ;)
