Hey Philly Moms - here’s a chance to take the kids, soak in some culture, and enjoy a fun, low-pressure outing in the city. Mark your calendars for Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the Barnes Foundation’s PECO Free First Sunday Family Day: Reimagined & Retold.

Free admission. No cost for entry into the galleries and all the family-friendly programming.
Art + activities for all ages. From age 2 and up, your little ones can try art-making stations, scavenger hunts through the collection, storytime, and the chance to see student artwork.
Live music. The Philadelphia Youth Concert Band will perform “American Musical Masters: Reimagined & Retold”, featuring works by greats like Lin‑Manuel Miranda, Stephen Sondheim, and Leonard Bernstein.
Local vibe, Philly families. This event is in the heart of Philadelphia (2025 Benjamin Franklin Parkway) - perfect for a morning or afternoon adventure without leaving the city.

Registration required. Free-admission still means you’ll want to sign up early - capacity is limited.
Bring the stroller or carrier. Younger kids will enjoy the space, so bring what makes them comfortable.
Plan for backpacks. Snacks, water, maybe even a little sketchbook - just keep it casual and fun.
Combine with a matching-tee moment. If you’re cozying up in one of your “Mommy + Me” sets, this could be an adorable photo op for your collection or blog.
Stay for the music. The performances are scheduled at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., so you could do art stations in the morning and then settle for live music after lunch.
