Looking for an active, free event to get your kids moving this November? The Free Library of Philadelphia is hosting a Rock Climbing and Open Play event at the Cecil B. Moore Library on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 4 PM - and it’s the perfect mix of fitness and fun!
Designed for kids ages 7 and up, this event gives young climbers a chance to test their strength and coordination on a real indoor rock climbing wall - right inside the library!
Kids can jump, crawl, climb, and challenge themselves while having a blast with friends. In addition to the climbing wall, the event features:
Resistance bands and pull-up bars for mini workouts
Giant building blocks and creative movement activities
A supportive environment that encourages teamwork and confidence
It’s a great opportunity for kids to stay active, try something new, and burn off some after-school energy - all while learning through play.
