If you’re looking for a family-friendly way to spread kindness this December, South Philly’s iconic Miracle on South 13th Street is hosting a special charity event supporting The People’s Kitchen, a local organization fighting food insecurity right here in our city.

It’s happening on:
📅 Saturday, December 6
⏰ 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM
📍 1600 Block of S. 13th Street (near Tasker)
Enjoy the magical holiday lights, see your favorite festive characters, and donate to a good cause - all at the same time.
The People’s Kitchen (located at 1149 S. 9th St.) cooks free, hot, restaurant-quality meals for neighbors in need and supports the community through gardens and local food justice projects. Every dollar donated goes toward nourishing families across Philadelphia.
This is a wonderful opportunity to show your kids what community care really looks like.

A festive, family-friendly atmosphere
An easy way to make a meaningful impact this season
The street won’t be closed, so families are encouraged to park nearby and walk to enjoy the full experience.
Cash + Venmo donations are accepted.
Support The People’s Kitchen this Saturday on South 13th Street during the Miracle on 13th charity event - a family-friendly evening of lights, community, and giving back in Philly.
