Hey Philly moms - looking for a festive event to add into your holiday season? The Philadelphia Dance Academy’s annual production of The Nutcracker is a beautiful option. It gives your kids the thrill of live performance, the wonder of a holiday classic, and a chance for you to sit back and soak it all in.
This year’s performances are scheduled on December 13th and 14th at the Mandell Theater (3220 Chestnut St).

It’s short enough to hold the kids’ attention, yet full of festive charm.
It’s local — no long drive out of the city.
It’s holiday-themed: ballet, music, twinkling lights (yes!).
A great way to start or add to your December traditions.
Free Mini Nutcracker at Your Local Library

If your kids are still getting used to live performances (or you just want something short, sweet, and free), the Parkway Central Library is hosting a mini Nutcracker performance on December 6th at the Montgomery Auditorium. Seats are first-come, first seated so get there early!
