Looking for a unique and educational family outing in Philadelphia? Anna Bee's Honey offers an immersive Beekeeper for a Day experience that lets you and your kids step into the fascinating world of honeybees.
Located in South Philadelphia, Anna Bee's Honey is a family-run apiary dedicated to educating the community about the importance of bees. Their Beekeeper for a Day program is a hands-on adventure suitable for ages 5 and up, making it perfect for families, school groups, or even a unique date idea.
During the 2-hour session, participants will:
Don protective beekeeper suits and gear.
Learn about the life cycle of honeybees and their role in our ecosystem.
Open a live hive to observe the bees up close.
Identify different types of bees, including the queen.
Taste fresh honey straight from the comb.
This interactive experience not only educates but also creates a deeper appreciation for these vital pollinators.
Sessions are available on select weekends, and spots fill up quickly. To check availability and book your experience, visit the Anna Bee's Honey website.
After your beekeeping adventure, browse their selection of 100% pure raw honey and handcrafted beeswax candles. These make for delightful souvenirs or gifts that support local beekeeping efforts.
